What is Fascial Stretch Therapy?

WHAT IS FST?

FST is pain-free process that improves mobility of your nerves and flexibility of your muscles and fascia. It is a passive-assisted stretch that benefits people of all ages and fitness levels, who are cleared by their physician for stretching and active movements.

How is FST Performed

It is performed on a treatment table, using stabilization straps to hold limbs in place, giving the therapist better control and leverage when performing stretches. Your body will be moved and stretched in ways that you likely have never felt before. It works deep into the joint capsules of your body that is not attainable with other manual interventions.

WHO IS FST FOR?

Professional teams and athletes have been using it for years as part of their treatment programs.  But it’s not just a treatment for athletes. Fascial Strength Therapy benefits people of all ages and activity levels. We lose 10% of our flexibility for every 10 years that we age unless we actively work at maintaining it.

ABOUT LINDA

Mom. Coach. Exercise Physiologist. Fitness instructor. Fascial Stretch Therapist.

Linda founded StretchCare to provide clients with a holistic, alternative method of relieving pain, improving mobility and correcting muscle imbalances through Fascial Stretch Therapy.  Linda recognized that people of all ages, fitness levels and body types have some type of chronic pain or need to improve mobility.

Assisted stretching is a ‘hands-on,’ manual therapy that gives the patient the opportunity to free joints and lengthen muscles & connective tissue that bind movements. This can result in freedom from chronic pain, a release of muscle tension, increase in athletic performance, enhanced flexibility and improved daily physical function leading to a better quality of life.

Linda is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, Facial Stretch Therapist and licensed Physical Therapy Assistant with over 20 years experience in the healthcare and fitness industries. Linda has a Master of Science in Clinical Exercise, a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and an Associate of Science in Physical Therapy.

In addition, Linda maintains several professional certifications including Fascial Stretch Therapy, Personal Training, TRX and American Council of Exercise. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association

Throughout her career, Linda has been passionate about improving the lives of her clients through therapy and fitness instruction. Linda has spent the last several years working as a physical therapy assistant helping clients with rehabilitation from injury and remediating impairments in order to increase strength, mobility and function. She is a personal trainer and group fitness instructor specializing in strength training and cardiovascular exercise. Prior to working as a PTA, Linda was a Exercise Science instructor at East Stroudsburg University and a Field Hockey Strength & Conditioning Coach at Delaware Valley High School in Milford, Pennsylvania.
